The first notification of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee Gadchiroli was published in the Nagpur Gazette on 12 June 1961 by Hon. D. H. Deshmukh, Commissioner, Nagpur Division. Accordingly, Hon. District Collector Ramkrishna Chanda published a notification in the Gazette on 23 October 1961 stating that a market committee was established comprising a total of 26 villages as mentioned in the gazette. Hon. Director of Agriculture Marketing and Rural Finance, Maharashtra State, Pune, notified the actual functioning of the market committee in Gadchiroli by a notification dated 28 November 1970.
Hon. The District Sub-Registrar Cooperative Society, Gadchiroli, on February 4, 1999, in the Maharashtra Government Gazette, divided the Gadchiroli Market Committee into two separate committees, Gadchiroli Market Committee, comprising a total of 353 villages, 126 in Gadchiroli taluka and 227 in Dhanora taluka, and another market committee, Chamorshi, comprising 274 villages in Chamorshi and Mulchera taluka, and an independent Chamorshi Market Committee, comprising a total of 274 villages in Chamorshi and Mulchera taluka.
